Ssu officers referendum newsstory 01

This is a referendum proposal for the upcoming Officer Elections.

Along with 600 other students' unions across the country, Sheffield SU is affiliated (attached) to the National Union of Students.

Statement for: There are no statements 'for' this proposal yet. If you wish to submit one, please contact elections@sheffield.ac.uk (200 word limit)

Statement against: There are no statements 'against' this proposal yet. If you wish to submit one, please contact elections@sheffield.ac.uk (200 word limit)

All students have until 10am Thursday 27th February to:

  • Submit a statement 'for' or 'against' these proposals (200 word maximum).
  • Submit any alternative or related proposals (100 word maximum): these require the support of 500 students. If you want to submit an alternative or related proposal, we will publish this here to allow students to 'upvote' to show their support. 500 or more 'upvotes' will mean that your alternative or related proposal will be included in the ballot.

On Friday 28th February (10am) all final referendum proposals (including any alternative or related proposals) will be available to view online. Voting will be from 9th-11th March.

Other ways you can get involved in the Referendum:

  • Join a campaign team, either for or against a topic or alternative/related proposal by emailing elections@sheffield.ac.uk
  • Participate in the "Referendum Debate": Monday 9th March, 5-6.30pm in the Actvitites and Sports Zone (Students' Union)

For more information, email elections@sheffield.ac.uk
